Tools

`search_legal_evidence`

Starting point for any research. Answers a legal question or citation with ranked provisions and decisions, links and, where available, the wording of the relevant passages. Search snippets and retrieved source text are labelled separately.

Result lists for statutes, decisions and commentary without full text, with paging. For larger result sets; warnings point out coverage gaps.

`get_norm_text`

The wording of a German federal provision or an article of an EU act (from the Official Journal via EUR-Lex), with a link to the official publication. Earlier versions are available for German federal law.

`get_decision_passages`

Passages of a decision by document ID or ECLI, optionally from a given paragraph number. The original numbering is preserved.

`get_official_decision_text`

Full text of a decision from an official publication: North Rhine-Westphalia, Brandenburg or EUR-Lex (judgments and orders of the EU courts). Docket number and date are checked against the document before any text is returned.

`resolve_decision_citation`

Finds a decision by docket number, ECLI or citation when no document ID is known. Ambiguous matches, mismatched dates and joined cases are reported.

`list_citing_decisions`

Decisions that cite a given provision, page by page. The number of citations says nothing about relevance or current validity.

Guidance pages of authorities (BSI on NIS-2/BSIG and KRITIS, BfDI on the GDPR, the Federal Ministry of Justice and the Familienportal on divorce, maintenance, custody and contact, OLG Düsseldorf: Düsseldorfer Tabelle and guidelines), read live from the authority's site or as the bundled text of the PDF publication. The id comes from a search hit of kind guidance. The authority's view, not a legal norm.
